CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

Has been divided in two ways, which is Chobe north and Savuti,  which is the southern part of Chobe .Chobe has an extraterrestrial movie, enormous savanna elephants herds of 50 to 100 individuals. During the dry season from May to September their number and those of other species can exceed the herd’s size of the country large park reserve. Through out the habitats you will find leopard, lion, giraffe, baboon, sable, roan and other many more antelopes

 

Savuti has been conceded to be the driest part of Chobe with beautiful scenery. Also well known of its elephants herds and cats and the Savuti channel that dries for about 30 years and now it has water which attract many more species of animals

 

MOREMI GAME RESERVE

The most well known game reserve in Botswana by its good repetition of good game view, Xakanaxa has attract many more people by cats sighting .Khai has good birding and can do local shopping to boost the community people in Khai village.  

 

 

 

 

THE OKAVANGO DELTA

 

The Okavango Delta covers an area of approximately 3, 2 million acres, when in full flood, and is not only World heritage site but is also considered a Wetland of International Importance with regard to its bird populations and breeding potential.

 

The Okavango River rises as the Cubango and Cuito Rivers in the central high lands of Angola. It enters Botswana as a 200m wide and 4m deeper river that flows in depression between two parallel faults 15km apart-the so –called panhandle. Flow is distributed when the fault near Serongo is crossed with a total land gradient of 1:3500m causing the water to spread out into a characteristic fan shape over the Kalahari sands.

 

From here, the Delta as it becomes called, consists of a series of permanent channels, semi-permanent drainage channels, lagoons and flood plans with 75%  of the total water volume supplied the Okavango River well the rest is supplied by direct rain fall into the Delta. The flood takes so long to reach Maun because of the slow graded; there is a drop in elevation of only 60m between Shakawe and Maun. Flooding in the Delta is incredibly dynamic with variable flow being eristic regional rainfall and river inflow volumes.

 

The Delta has a high biodiversity with over 1,250 plants, 70 fish, 450 birds, 20 frogs, 50 reptiles and some 90 mammal species.

                                                                                         

 

MEAL TIMES

 

We have tree full meals in a day and some snicks, coffee and tea in between the meal time to keep you busy.

Morning drives coffees, tea and biscuits are provided before departure. In the mid way of the drives you will stop to stretch the legs and the guide will provide some snacks for you.

 

Branch is provided after the drives, then relaxing time until afternoon at 3pm for the next game drive. Also dinner is provided after game drive, then stories or discussion around the fire with the guide for the next day.
